De Jorio Design International is a leading Italian architecture and design company, created in 1956 by the architect Giuseppe de Jorio.
From the 80's joined the studio Vittorio de Jorio and Marco de Jorio introducing new mind and new ideas following directly all the new projects.
Since the very beginning, its activity has been centred on the civil, both public and private, and ship building fields. But it is in designing Passenger and Cruise Vessels that De Jorio Design has really built its history. In the last 50 years Giuseppe de Jorio and his company have been the consultants for the most important Italian passenger ship and cruise ferry owners and shipyards. Moreover, the company has acquired considerable experience in the designing of luxury mega yachts. It is in the naval field that the company has been most successful and up to today it has signed more than 200 projects in 50 years of activity. The team of the studio is made up of architects and interior and graphic designers. The board is made up of chairman Giuseppe de Jorio and founding partners Vittorio and Marco de Jorio.
Style
The Studio’s design is based on a balanced planning lay-out and an architectonic development of the environments, differentiated in their themes, but sufficiently homogeneous in their expressive forms, obtained from a search for absolute elegance in terms of space, shapes and lines joined by the perfect harmonisation of colours and materials. Despite their presence worldwide, being Italians, living and working in Italy that has always been the birthplace of all arts, makes up in its own right a cultural heritage that is without equal, a source of inspiration for design also when they propose projects with a feeling different from European models. The result is a design of “Italian” taste.
